More Piglets at Occombe!
14th September 2009
Another eight piglets were born on Friday at the farm - they are similar to the first litter, sandy coloured with lots of black spots...their mother is a Berkshire and father an Oxford Sandy & Black boar, which is where their spots come from. They will spend a lot of time cuddling closely to one another in the farrowing ark for a week or so - after that they will venture outdoors with their mother. You may see them next time you visit - their pen is close to the viewing platform at the top of the orchard.
